Robin Grier, president of Catalyst Communications Technologies, announced that James Teel has joined Catalyst as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, James is charged with leading the effort to continue Catalyst’s growth, including new initiatives to deploy Catalyst’s LMR/LTE interworking solutions.
James brings extensive experience leading communications technology business development and product management organizations in the public safety marketplace. Prior to Catalyst, James spent more than 14 years at L3Harris (formerly Harris) and was instrumental in positioning the company as an early market leader in the emerging FirstNet/Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network. He led development of market entry and early adoption strategies for l3Harris’ broadband portfolio, strategic relationships within the industry, as well as driving L3Harris’ business strategy internally across multiple line organizations and business divisions.
Speaking about James, Robin Grier said “James has been an A List business manager his entire career and we’re excited to have him on our team. Catalyst has significant opportunities to grow as the mission critical marketplace embraces LTE technologies and James’ skills and experiences will be instrumental as we roll out our LMR/LTE Intellilink™ Interworking solutions. These solutions will require close coordination with FirstNet™ and the FirstNet™ network provider AT&T, as well as other Mission Critical Push-to-Talk (MCPTT) systems, and James can help us across all our business lines, including our core Dispatch, Interoperability and Incident command solutions.”
