PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Catalyst Inside Sales/Account Manager, you will be responsible for closing business of legacy Catalyst products and new Mission Critical Public Safety LMR/LTE Interworking Solutions, including those offered through LTE telecommunications carriers, while helping outside account managers meet company and product line revenue goals. As part of the sales team, you will work to understand customer needs, determine how Catalyst products and services, as well as complementary products, meet those needs, create a proposal tailored to each opportunity, communicate the proposed solutions, and guide the deal through the customer’s ordering process. You will also assist in developing sales strategies for new products, markets, and customer verticals. You will maintain a customer focus as your top priority, ensuring that customer engagement is conducted in a beneficial manner. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
This position will be a sales role, measured primarily by selling performance and quota achievement against established sales targets, and will require up to 10% U.S.-based travel.

- Responsible for achieving assigned annual sales quota.
- Support strategic account planning and overall customer relationship management.
- Responsible for direct sales and indirect channel sales for targeted accounts.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each targeted account.
- Work closely with the Catalyst Marketing Manager, Sales Engineer, and the Operations team to assess and document customers’ needs and address their requirements. Promptly communicate the status of projects, relevant findings, contacts, etc., using NetSuite and other assigned tools.
- Establish and promote customer relationships with senior management, influencers, and others within and outside of LTE Broadband Carriers, Public Safety, Federal, and Critical Infrastructure Agencies to understand their needs and influence customers’ decisions.
- Proactively engage and lead Catalyst channel partners in selling Catalyst solutions where appropriate.
- Drive the Catalyst proposal process for specific opportunities, create content, and ensure that a high-quality proposal is delivered to the customer on schedule.
- Promptly document and report customer contact information, sales activities, and other relevant findings via NetSuite and other assigned tools.
- Educate Catalyst partners and customer prospects about Catalyst products, differentiators, and positioning.
- Responsible for entering sales team orders.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Strong Verbal Communication
- Research work seeking new sales opportunities and industry trends
- LTE and/or LMR experience preferred
- 4+ years of public safety experience is preferred
- Willingness and ability to be a strong self-starter and hunt to identify/create sales opportunities.
- Demonstrated successful sales history.
- Ability to comprehend technically complex solutions.
- Strong relationship skills.
- Strong presentation skills, specifically with management, customers, trade shows, and industry associations.
- Strong communication skills (written & oral).
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience working in the wireless LTE carrier environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated record of implementing new innovative sales methodologies to expand sales opportunities for the sales growth of Catalyst product offerings.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% – primarily across the US.
