Traffic traveling along Graves Mill Road will see an explosion of red, white & blue as the Rotary Club of Forest posts 1,000 United States flags on the grassy field in front of the ACS. This striking display of the Stars & Stripes brings Lynchburg’s Annual Field of Honor® event to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is again hosted by the Rotary Club of Forest.
The 2023 Field of Honor is the sixth consecutive year that the Rotary Club of Forest will honor our Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders, Firefighters, Police Officers, EMTs, Health Care Workers, and those that have made the Ultimate Sacrifice.
Of special note, our guests of honor this year will be our Vietnam Veterans. Catalyst has sponsored flags to honor 3 local heroes. This year, they all happen to be L3Harris employees:
